Right now, if you look at banks’ market cap data, well, Bank of Baroda actually is the 2nd largest public sector bank in the country by market cap. And that’s just because BOB takes good care of its customers, and that’s by offering convenient services. Today, though, we’re specifically referring to services like checking Bank balance using SMS, missed call enquiry and toll-free number. So, if you have no idea about that or maybe you just want to give these methods a try, then just keep on reading. Here we go.
BOB Balance Check via Missed Call
First of all, let’s see how you can check your Bank of Baroda account balance by just dialling a number and giving a missed call. Here’s how you should go about it:
- First up, dial 8468001111 from your registered mobile number.
- The call disconnects automatically, so don’t worry about it.
- You get an SMS with your current account balance. It might take a little while before you get that message, so no need to try multiple times.
- Works for Savings, Current, OD, and CC accounts.
- You can use this up to 3 times a day, just keep that in mind.
Note: Just make sure you only try this with your registered mobile number or the number that is linked with your bank account already.
BOB Balance Check via SMS
And here’s another easy method, with this one, all you need to do is just send a text message to a number using your registered mobile number, and that’s it. Here:
Send SMS to 8422009988 from your registered mobile number.
- For balance: Type BAL <last 4 digits of account number>.
- For mini statement: Type MINI <last 4 digits of account number>.
- For cheque status: CHEQ <last 4 digits> <cheque number>.
SMS charges may apply as per your mobile operator, so make sure you check on that first.
Other Options To Check BOB Bank Balance
Other than just sending a text message to a number or that missed call inquiry thing, you can try out a few other methods to check back on your Bank of Baroda account balance very easily. And it’s not like there are just one or two methods, nah, there are a much of them, like:
- WhatsApp Banking: We all use WhatsApp these days, so it would be pretty easy for you to send “Hi” to 8433888777 on WhatsApp from your registered mobile number and choose Balance Enquiry, to get back the balance information right away.
- Net Banking: Oh, this is one of the most famous ones among those who already use this service. For this, just log in to the Bank of Baroda internet banking portal, go to ‘View Account Details’, then click on ‘Check Account Balance’.
- Mobile Banking App: Yes, you can use the bob World app, like, simply log in with your registered number and MPIN, then tap ‘My Account’ → ‘View Account Balance’.
- mPassbook App: Just like the previous Bob App, there is this one, so all you need to do is just open the BOB mPassbook app, log in with your registered mobile number, and your balance will be shown automatically.
- UPI Apps: This is the most preferred option these days where you use any UPI app (like GPay, PhonePe, etc.), go to your linked BOB account, and tap ‘Check Balance’.
- USSD Code: Not a lot of people know that if you dial *99*48# from your registered mobile number (no internet needed) and follow the instructions, you can actually check your bank balance.
All in all, make sure you give each of these methods a try once in a while and see which one you like the most and then stick with that.
