Bank of India (BOI) Bank Balance Check Number, SMS, Missed Call Enquiry

If you look at all the public sector banks in the country, without a doubt, Bank of India or BOI for short, is among the smallest ones. But it still has a customer base of around 94+ million customers, and that’s pretty significant, especially from the standpoint of providing essential or basic banking services to the customers. Though we’re mainly referring to the convenience services like bank balance check using SMS or missed call enquiry, so let’s talk about just that.

BOI Balance Check by Missed Call

Bank of India

This has to be the easiest method to check your bank balance without going anywhere, and all you need to do is just give a missed call to any of the following numbers.

  • Number to Call: 9266135135
  • Alternate Toll-Free Number: 9015135135

Steps:

  • It is super important that you actually call from your registered mobile number (the one that is linked to your Bank of India account) to the above-mentioned numbers.
  • The call will disconnect automatically.
  • Right after that, you’ll get an SMS with your account balance. If you didn’t, just wait a few minutes; sometimes it takes a little longer.
  • The best bit is that it works when you have no internet. It works 24×7.

BOI Balance Check via SMS Banking

Just like the previous method, this one is super simple as well, where all you need to do is just send a text message to the official number of the Bank of India, and they’ll send you the bank balance info back in an SMS. The only thing to keep in mind with this one is that you’d have to send the following text with your registered mobile number, and before that, you’d have to actually activate the SMS banking service.

SMS Number: +91 9810558585

SMS Format:

  • For main account: BALANCE<4-digit SMS Password>
  • For other accounts: BALANCE<Password><Account Number>

To get a mini statement, send:

  • TRANS<Password> (for primary account)
  • TRANS<Password><Account Number> (for others)

Other Options To Check BOI Bank Balance

  • Net Banking: This has to be one of the most traditional ways of checking your bank balance, where you just log in at https://bankofindia.co.in and go to “View Account Details” to see your balance.
  • Mobile Banking App: The bank apps just work fine in the case of BOI, so just use the BOI Mobile App, log in with your MPIN, and tap on “My Accounts” → “View Account Balance”.
  • ATM: This one needs a little bit of commuting or walking to a nearby ATM, so go there, insert your card, enter PIN, and choose “Balance Enquiry” to view your balance.
  • Passbook: In this one, you don’t need to do anything by yourself other than just physically visiting the bank branch and asking the help from the bank people to update your passbook.
  • UPI App: This has to be the most common way of checking balance these days, like just opening apps like Google Pay or PhonePe, going to “Check Balance”, selecting your BOI account, and entering UPI PIN.
  • WhatsApp Banking: If we talk about the super convenient method in this regard, well, just save 8376006006, send “Hi” on WhatsApp from your registered number, and follow the prompts to check your balance.
  • USSD Code: Just like all the other banks out there, this method also works with BOI, where you just need to dial *99*47# from your registered number and follow the instructions on your phone screen.
  • BOI BTM (Agent Service): This one is a bit unique, like, you just need to visit a BOI BTM agent, share your account details, and ask for a balance check.
