How to Register Your Number
If your number is not registered so far, don’t worry, it is a one-time fix, and you’ll be good for the most part. First of all, all you need to do is just send an SMS as follows:
- ACTBAL <your 14-digit account number>
- Send to: 9895088888
- When you send this, your number will be linked to your account. Plain and simple!

Balance Enquiry via SMS
Let’s say, for some reason, you just hate the missed calls, but the thing is, now you can find out your balance through SMS easily, too. Here’s how you go about it.
- Format: Simply send the message: BAL SB<last 4 digits of your account number>
- Send it to: 9895088888 or 5676762
- Just send an SMS using the registered mobile number, and the bank will get back to you with your account balance.
And don’t miss sending it from the mobile number linked with your Federal Bank account, or else it won’t be effective. Or won’t straight up work. So just be aware of that before you send that message you have already typed out.
Other Ways to Check Your Federal Bank Balance
- WhatsApp (FEDDY): If let’s say you’re already super comfortable using WhatsApp, then all you need to do is just shoot a quick “Hi” on WhatsApp to 9633700800, and you can definitely ask for your balance details.
